You are not failing. You are transforming, and transformation, while beautiful, is rarely easy.

WHY IT ASKS SO MUCH OF YOU
Becoming a mother reshapes your brain, your body, and your sense of self.
This transition has a name, matrescence, and it deserves the same recognition and support we give to adolescence. Nothing about needing support means something is wrong with you.
Your brain is reorganizing
Pregnancy brings measurable changes in brain structure that can last for years, in areas tied to social cognition and attachment. Heightened sensitivity and new questions about who you are becoming are part of that process, not a flaw in it.
Hoekzema and colleagues, Nature Neuroscience, 2017
The fourth trimester lasts longer than six weeks
The maternal brain keeps adapting for up to two years after birth. During that time you are not only recovering from birth. You are integrating a completely new identity, usually on very little sleep.
Pawluski and colleagues, Hormones and Behavior, 2017
It takes energy on every level
Physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual energy are all being spent at once. Asking for support is not admitting defeat. It is recognizing that transformation is hard work, and hard work is easier with support.
BY THE NUMBERS

The shift is common, it lasts longer than most people expect, and the everyday levers the course is built on have evidence behind them.

None of this means you have to do it all. It means small, practical changes carry real weight, and the course is built around them.
THE INTEGRATIVE APPROACH
Therapy, clinical nutrition, and lifestyle medicine, together.
Most support for mothers stops at talk. The Motherhood Reset brings three evidence-based foundations into one practical course, so what you learn works in your actual life, not just in a session.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
Skills to hold difficult feelings without being run by them, notice a thought like "I am a terrible mother" as a thought rather than a fact, reconnect with what matters to you, and take small, meaningful steps even on the days you do not feel ready.
Clinical nutrition
Practical, realistic ways to nourish a body that is growing, feeding, or recovering. Food is one of the most direct levers for mood and energy, and it does not require rigid rules to work in your favor.
Lifestyle medicine
Small shifts in movement, sleep, stress, and connection that fit a life with a baby in it. The goal is not a perfect routine. It is a nervous system that has a little more room to breathe.
Everything in the course is designed to support your nervous system, your mood, and your sense of self, in ways that translate into daily life.
WHO IT IS FOR
For mothers in every season.

Whether your baby is on the way, in your arms, or already in school, the transition into motherhood keeps unfolding. The reset meets you where you are.
Expecting
You are preparing for a new life and quietly becoming a new version of yourself. The questions start long before the baby arrives.
The fourth trimester
The early months, when your brain, body, and identity are all adapting at the same time and rest is hard to come by.
The years after
Motherhood keeps changing you long past the newborn stage. The reset is just as useful years in as it is in the first weeks.

CREATED BY
Cortney Harden, LCSW, CMNCS
Therapist, clinical nutrition specialist, and mother.
Cortney is the founder of Live Aligned Integrative Therapy & Consulting and the author of The Healing Journal. Her work brings therapy, clinical nutrition, and lifestyle medicine together, because mental health and physical health cannot be separated, and insight from a session once a week is rarely enough on its own.
She is also a mother who has walked this path. She knows the 3 AM doubts, the overwhelming love mixed with bone-deep exhaustion, and the way you can feel grateful and grieving at the same time. The Motherhood Reset is built from that experience and from the clinical tools she uses every day.
